Overview
Tupelo is one of the old Grayton cottages: built in the 1940s, with a tin roof you can hear in the rain, heart pine floors and walls, and a porch swing facing the lane. Its owners restored it in 2019 with new wiring, plumbing and air conditioning, and kept the creak in the floors.
The beach is five minutes away through the village, past the cottages and the live oaks. Everything in Grayton is close enough to walk to, which is why the car usually stays put all week.

Three bikes in the shed. Western Lake and Grayton Beach State Park are just east of the village.
