We started with two houses in Seagrove.
Quarterboard has managed homes on 30A since 2016, and we’re still small enough to know every one by name.
How it started
Maggie Dunlap grew up in DeFuniak Springs, forty minutes inland, and spent eight years running housekeeping for one of the big rental companies on 30A. Luis Ferrer builds and fixes houses, and has done both in Seagrove since 2005. In 2016 two families they knew asked them to take care of their beach houses, Loblolly and Ghost Crab, and Quarterboard began.
We’ve grown one house at a time since, and turned down more houses than we’ve taken on. Every home we manage is within fifteen minutes of our office, cleaned by our own crew, and walked through after every stay.
Where we are
Our office is on 30A in Seagrove. We don’t keep a storefront, so if you’d like to stop by, call first.
Why Quarterboard
A quarterboard is the long carved name board over the door of a coastal house, a habit New England took from the name boards of ships. On 30A nearly every house carries a name too, and it’s how we know the houses we take care of. Never by unit number.
