Overview
Coquina was built in 2018 on one of the last open lots in old Grayton, and it’s made to fit in: board-and-batten siding, a metal roof, deep porches. Inside it’s lighter and more open than the cottages around it, with the kitchen, dining table and living room in one long room upstairs.
Downstairs are three of the four bedrooms and a plunge pool in a walled courtyard. The pool can be heated for $55 a day, which makes it swimmable from March.

The courtyard pool is small and perfect for kids. We ate every dinner on the upstairs porch.
