Blue Mountain Beach
High dunes west of Grayton, where blue lupine flowers in spring.
Blue Mountain Beach is smaller and quieter than its neighbors, built on dunes high enough that some houses north of 30A see the Gulf over the trees. The name is said to come from the blue lupine that flowers on those dunes in spring.
It’s a good base for bigger groups: the houses are larger, the lots wider, and the beach less crowded than in the middle of 30A.
